Description
home made vacuum system, parts used: fridge evacuation pump (used to remove freon from freezers), 1/4" aluminum plate, misc fittings flexible copper piping. I wrote some construction notes here:

the vacuum system is used for two things, to remove bubbles from investment and to draw liquid metal into a mold.

I've always been curious about vacuum casting. I'm used to doing the vacuum for pulling the bubbles out of the mold, but then using a centerfuge for the actual casting part ((also dangerous slinging metal around like that Oo... but its fun XD)) It's been years since I was able to do any actual casting...
